How do I start using InfraNav?

We recommend scheduling a demo to explore InfraNav’s full capabilities and find a solution that fits your organization’s needs. InfraNav offers both off-the-shelf products like reports and custom solutions tailored to each user. Get in touch today.

For which countries is InfraNav available?

It depends on the product. InfraNav has global coverage across 140 countries, regionally focused on Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Products derived directly from InfraNav data (e.g., maps, reports, Locator licenses) are available for countries where we have “extensive” coverage. Our bespoke platforms and solutions can incorporate proprietary data provided by clients, and can be built out for any market or region whether our database has coverage or not.

See our coverage map for more details, and please contact us if you would like more information on a specific country or data set.

Where does your data come from?

InfraNav’s terrestrial fiber and data center databases are sourced from a mix of direct operator contributions and publicly available data. Our dedicated team of “ICT infrastructure archeologists” creates and maintains this data in-house, and constantly tracks network deployments and updates our databases.

Other data sets, such as power grid infrastructure, financial access points, points of interest, and demand drivers, are derived from third-party sources.

How accurate is your data?

InfraNav’s digital infrastructure data is updated on an ongoing basis by our team of “ICT infrastructure archeologists,” and validated by primary sources where possible. Fiber networks in our focus regions are updated at least annually, with some markets updated every quarter. While it is not perfect and there are network assets that InfraNav does not have mapped, we consult thousands of sources annually to ensure that the InfraNav database remains the most comprehensive collection of digital infrastructure data for our focus regions.

Please note that InfraNav data is mapped at the street level, not at an engineering level of precision.

How much does InfraNav cost?

Integration and customization costs vary, but packages for an introductory product like InfraNav Locator begin at $95 per month. Quotations for custom solutions are available on request. We work with companies to make the procurement process as seamless as possible.

Do you have a free trial?

Yes, InfraNav Locator has a free trial available - you can sign up now and select a country to search for fiber coverage. Our publicly-available provider directory also offers information at a company level. To inquire about a trial of a platform or custom solution, please contact us to learn more.

Who owns InfraNav?

InfraNav was developed by HIP Consult, an independent management advisory firm based in Washington D.C. that specializes in strategic, operational and commercial strategy for ICT infrastructure across emerging markets. Over the course of the last decade, the HIP Consult team has invested in building out InfraNav as a resource for digital infrastructure stakeholders - particularly those looking to further expand, monetize, or invest in emerging market connectivity.

How do I add my network to InfraNav?

Infrastructure and service providers are welcome to contribute information to our registry of 550+ terrestrial fiber providers. Sign up to be included in our provider directory and upload your network to be included in Locator. Please contact us if you have any questions around sharing network data.
